Apple-nut coffee cake

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and
vanilla; beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking
soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour
cream. Fold in apples. Spread batter in 9 x 13-inch greased
pan. Mix topping ingredients, then sprinkle it over the batter.
Bake at 350 F for 35 to 40 minutes.
