Use these delicious biscuits to make strawberry shortcake!
Mile high biscuits
3 c. flour
2 T. sugar
4½ tsp. baking powder
¾ tsp. cream of tartar
¾ tsp. salt
¾ c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
 Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Combine egg and milk; beat with a fork. Add flour mix; stir just enough to make a soft dough. Turn onto floured surface; knead 15 times. Roll 1 inch thick and cut out. Bake on ungreased sheet at 450 F for 12 to 15 minutes.
